You're probalby thinking that there's no reason to update the 10-year-old Weber you've got in your back yard. Well, turns out Weber has made some smart improvements over the years-- the new "gold" model is worth the upgrade.
The ash-catcher is super, the one-touch vent system is a big improvement (no more knocking each vent with a trowel), the plastic handles stay cooler... you get the idea. Nothing dramatic, but good progress.
But here's the clincher: setting one of these up (takes about 20 minutes, even if you make a mistake or two) just makes you feel like you're in heaven. It's summer embodied. People rhapsodize about the new car small... well, fughettaboutit. The look of a shiny new grill that you've assembled yourself is about as good as it gets.

I received this cookware December 06 and have been cooking with it everyday since then. It is truly an amazing cookware set. It goes from stove top to oven with no problem. It looks nice hanging on my pot rack in my kitchen even after all of the use it gets from me and my family. I have only GOOD things to say about this baking dish. I bought one for myself when I got my first apartment. Five years later, and it still looks brand new and I use it all the time. In fact, I had to buy a second one (in blue this time) because I use this so much!
This dish is a good size for making meals for one or two people, as well as side dishes for more, or brownies, etc. It fits nicely in the fridge or freezer for storage, in the microwave for easy reheating, and in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. The handles are good sized for easy gripping and looks perfectly at home on a side buffet table at holidays.
For the price, you can't beat this purchase. It is worth so much more than what you will actually spend.... By An essential dish for every kitchen

I have wanted copper-lined pots and pans for years, but I could not bring myself to drop the big bucks! I found these on Amazon and thought I would give them a try.... I AM SO HAPPY I DID! I am not a super crazy cook, I cook a few times a week. These are just right for people like me! They clean up super easy, they are as shiny as the day I bought them, I even have used a metal fork to stir (I know, not good move!) but they are completely scratch free!!! And they heat up quickly and evenly throughout the whole pan ( not just in the middle like cheap ones do!). I say give them a try! I think these mitts are worth the price, but they are not flawless. Their thumb opening is on the same plane as the rest of the fingers, which is not how we have them aligned in our hands --at least when we are using our hands to grab something. Because they are rather stiff, this makes them a little difficult to use.... By A little too bulky. Not the best design either.

Many people might scoff at a set of steak knives at this price, My only retort is to relate the story of sneaking around (because of my wife's non belief that there was a difference) and buying a set of the Wusthof Classic Steak Knives and using them for the first time. No matter what knife you have laying around and how sharp it is, the Wusthof is superior. It is the most obvious in steak knives because you use them everyday. The edges are plain edged, honed by hand. These are NOT your STEAK HOUSE knives - no serrations. Your SLICING fine meat not disposing of a lost tourist in Texas!Hand washing only, even with today's more sophisticated dishwashers with knife compartments preventing dinging and other damage to the blade, the high water heat and chemicals in the diswashing soap will ruin ANY knife. Think of the glass that you've had for years that you've run through the dish washer. Look closely and you'll see the glass is actually ETCHED from the detergent. And the old wood handled paring knives. Notice how they are duller and harder to sharpen? The dishwater temperature and chemicals from the detergent have damaged the steel. By the way, there is no SUPER steel that isn't known to all knife makers. Metallurgy is an exacting science, a formula to be followed, not magic with the Sorcerer and Mickey Mouse as his apprentice. Wusthof PROUDLY stamps the which metal their knives are made of right on the blade. It may be heard in a sales spiel from the college kid selling complete cutlery sets, that knives can be dishwasher cleaned. Nope.I don't put my saw blades, drill or router bits in the dishwasher either. They are precision edged tools just like your knives.
I'm very happy with this purchase everytime they come out for a meal. They feel comfortable, familiar like an extension of your hand, as all the Wusthof Classic cutlery do. Good weight, balance and excellent hand honed edge. This knife is the one my wife reaches for first for her needs in the kitchen. Never argue with a woman with a knife in her hand. Especially a Wusthof!!

I would think twice about purchasing anything from Briel, the company refuses to send parts that were not with the machine. It was clear in the packaging that the two peices NEEDED to use the espresso maker were not included. When I contacted the USA distibuter( Cafe West of Medford Oregon) AND Briel directly I was met with piss poor service, actully NO service 4 attempts have gone un answered. I am still waiting to hear back from Amazon as to what they can do for me. This product was purchased for its dual use of coffee and espresso, to this date I still have not been able to try the espresso maker, the coffee pot portion is ok but is flimsy plastic and the lid pops off very easy, this is something you dont notice in the pictures since it looks like metal. In fact its a thin piece of metal glued to plastic. SO far the coffee maker is OK but I am not overly impressed, this could be from the pure lack of customer support. I am sure Amazon will take care of any problem as they are a great company but it truely sucks that I may have to send the enitre machine back just to get 2 small pieces. I would seriously consider other coffee makers before commiting to what seems to be a crappy company. .... By Parts missing NO service

I just received this set for Christmas and have been cooking up a storm since that morning. This set replaces a "set" of random pans that included hand-me-downs and cheap poseurs. This is my first set of truly high-quality cookware. In shopping for this (it's a gift I gave myself), I was considering several different brands and model lines. Although I own several All-Clad pans and love using them, I was hesitant about spending that kind of money on a set similar to this one. Far less expensive, but by no means inexpensive are stainless steel sets by Calphalon and KitchenAid. I really like both and was having a hard time making up my mind. That is, until I happened to take a closer look at Cuisinart's cookware. I already owned a braiser from their Everyday Stainless line (their cheapest) and liked it well enough. However, I wanted to step up to something a bit better. (I'm not sure the Everyday Stainless is even available anymore.) I wanted cookware that had an aluminum core and whose core extends up the sides of every pan, regardless of size. I wanted stainless with riveted handles (not spot-welded) and with a mirror finish for easy cleaning. I wanted pans that could withstand oven roasting temperatures. I wanted pans that were free of manufacturing flaws such as surface waves and imperfections or rivets that bend the pan surface when attaching the handles to the sides of the pan. Finally, I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. The Multiclad Pro line gives me all of the above, with the slight exception of the mirror finish. It isn't quite a mirror, although it's certainly easy to clean when soaked for several minutes. (The lids and handles are mirrored.) The heating is wonderfully even and, as the literature states, I don't need to use high heat even to sear or quick sautee because the pans respond to and retain the heat so well. At first, I thought the slight curve of the handles would make them uncomfortable due to the pressure point of the index finger's lever (unlike All-Clad's straight handles which distribute the pan's weight over all the fingers). However, this isn't so. The pans are comfortable to use and aren't unduly heavy and their curve has the added benefit of less height, making storage easier. The lids are tight-fitting, some being interchangeable so that each pan has one. The pans have a slight flare at the lip, making pouring easy and drip-free. For $250, this set is tough to beat. Cooking with All-Clad is great and if you can afford it, go for it. However, if you're more about the food than showing your cookware to friends and if All-Clad's prices give you pause, I highly recommend Cuisinart's Multiclad Pro cookware. Once in awhile, I watch cooking shows and I've been seeing this cookware being used on a few of them (Nigella Lawson, for example). This is undoubtedly smart marketing by Cuisinart, but its use is in the kitchen of a pro (as well as its name) is absolutely justified. ... By At this price point, the best.

I have had this machine since February and use it nearly every day. This is definitely one of the best coffeemakers I have ever owned, and I haven't had one single problem with it.

When I was deciding whether or not to buy it, some of the negative reviews had me a little skeptical. But I am SO glad that I took a chance. It was absolutely worth it for me.

I honestly don't see how some of the reviewers have had some of the problems that they have. Reviewer 'Joan of Arc' seemed to have quite a bit of leakage problems. It must have been a defective machine, because ours hasn't leaked one time -- not even a little drop. I'll go over a few of the issues she and some others had:

- The removable water reservoir (or "bucket" as she called it) for the coffeemaker is easy to remove and replace. If you don't want to take it out to fill it with water, just pour water into it. It is marked clearly and is easy to read even when stationed on the machine. No problem.

- The showerhead over the filter basket swivels outward to allow you to change the coffee filter. When you're done, you just swivel it back into place. I don't see how you can forget to do it, because the lid is designed so that you can't even close it if the showerhead isn't moved back into place. It really isn't even something you have to think about.

- Some people have had problems with the carafe lid. It doesn't open fully, but opens wide enough for me to clean it with little problem. We haven't had any problems with it dripping or leaking at all. It's like any other carafe that I've used over the years.

- 'Joan of Arc' mentioned that it was easy for her to forget to put the 1st lid on the espresso side before putting down the second lid. I'm not exactly sure what she was referring to, but I think she meant the water reservoir cap and lid. Again, I don't see how you could forget to screw the cap back on after you fill it with water. I suppose it's a learning curve. The first few times I used the machine, I referred to the instruction manual to make sure I did everything right. Now I can crank out good espresso and cappuccino in minutes without really even thinking about it. It just takes a little practice, like with anything else.

- Some people wished for a frother that was a little more accessible to make it a little easier to froth milk in a larger pitcher. That would have been a nice feature. It isn't too difficult to use, however, and seems to work just fine. The milk is always steaming hot, and the froth doesn't get cold for us.

- The coffee and espresso COULD be a LITTLE hotter. I don't like scalding hot coffee anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much, but for someone that does, it might be a small issue. Again, it doesn't seem like a deal-breaker, though.

- A clock or timer would have been a nice addition as well, but not having it doesn't affect the quality of the machine. It would have made a good product even better.

We have used both the coffee side and espresso side many times, and have yet to have any problems. I think some people may have received defective machines, but any product can be purchased defective. Some issues can easily be resolved with a little practice in getting used to the controls and operation of the whole machine, but once you do, it's more than easy to make good quality coffee and espresso.

I would definitely have to say that I got a great deal on a sleek, stylish machine that also works very well and makes good quality coffee. If you 'get what you pay for', then I made out like a bandit. Perfectly satisfied and VERY happy I bought it. ...... By Style AND Substance - A GREAT Coffeemaker

Such value for money here, no need to spend 3-4x as much on All-Clad...these are just as heavy and put together just as well. I'm glad I could never get myself to drop the $$$ on the other companies product. I expected them to be nice from reading the Consumer Reports piece but I was blown away by this set. This IS the set to buy, don't get a nonstick set...from experience. Even the best coatings wear off over time, you can't use metal whisks in them, and who really needs a nonstick stock pot? You don't need nonstick for most cooking, you will get better browning and pan sauces from a regular pan, yes you need nonstick for eggs and pancakes but you can always buy a matching nonstick skillet to go with these and still wind up spending much less. ... I got this set for what I consider a steal. The price has been fluctuating a bit, and if you hit it at the right time you can get them for an outstanding price. Just like all the other hard annodized cookware I have bought from amazon, I LOVE these pans! I have now converted nearly all of my cookware to this line, and highly reccommend it to anyone who wants to become a better cook. If you read other reviews, people complain about sticking. YES, food does adhere to the pans while cooking, but when it is done, the food releases from the surface. If you burn the food, do like Emeril says, and use the knobs on your stove. It does take some time and patience to rid yourself of the habits of teflon pans, but the food is so much tastier - I have never made better gravy in my life than since I switched cookware. This is a great starter set, and has most of the pans that you'll need. I would say that the average cook could get around 75% of their cooking done with this set. At a third of the regular retail price, this set was an awesome deal. One of the biggest selling points for me was the number of pieces. Most sets I looked at were just too small and I would end up having to buy additional pieces. It is a really nice looking set and they feel hearty. I am still trying to get used to the right temperature when cooking in them. If you have hard water it is difficult to keep them looking clean and spot free. I looked for months before purchasing these and I was hesitant initially because I have not had the best luck with Cuisanart products, but I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this set.... There's something clean and pure about cookware that's stainless steel inside and out. This stylishly finished version from KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials series features a brightly polished interior that discourages food from sticking, and a handsomely brushed exterior with a shiny band along the rim. Each pan is entirely constructed of premium 18/10 stainless steel, except for the encapsulated aluminum disk in the base (aluminum makes a superior conductor of heat), and the silicone grip encasing the handle. Even the tight-fitting lids are stainless steel. Each piece is oven-safe to 400 degrees F and is dishwasher-safe.

This was my sixth order of Pyrex storage items in the past ten months. I now own 44 containers (plus 44 lids) in various sizes from 1 cup to 7 cups. There are always several in the freezer, many in the refrigerator, a handful in the cupboard, a few in the dishwasher and one or two storing bulk ingredients in the pantry. With the clear bowls, refrigerated leftovers are no longer forgotten until it's too late. If you're purchasing Pyrex storage pieces for the first time this is a great starter set. If you're not sure which size(s) are best for your household, start with this set (one each 2-cup, 4-cup and 7-cup sizes plus lids) and/or the other 6-piece set (one each 1-cup, 2-cup and 4-cup sizes plus lids). Once you use them on a daily basis you'll know which sizes or sets are most useful in your household. I guarantee you'll be ordering more. Start checking the prices every day. One morning you'll log in and the items you need will be at a too-good-to-pass-up price. That's how I've placed each of my six orders. As I result, my 44 containers have averaged $4.72 per bowl+lid set. These containers have made healthful eating so much easier. In the winter I cook large quantities of vegetable and grain stews and soups in a slow cooker and freeze the leftovers in 1-cup and 2-cup containers. These have totally replaced prepared frozen dinners. With summer in full swing, I wash and tear a head of romaine lettuce that fills the 7-cup size and use a variety of 1- and 2-cup containers for assorted salad vegetables run through the food processor. This cart has a very small footprint. It is excellent for small spaces, or as a second grill cart for a Weber 100. I have a Q 120 with the fold out side tables. I cook for a men's Bocce Ball league and the Weber has been a great way to serve fresh cooked sausage, chicken and beef. Trouble was, it was about a 250 yard hump each way carrying the Q outstretched in front me to the Bocce Ball courts and back to the parking lot. After awkwardly carrying the Q back and forth a few times and making extra trips for the food- buying the scrawny looking cart seemed to make sense. The travel distance potential for my Q is only limited by my ability to walk (or climb). It does what it was designed to do and a little more when stacked with ice chests and dry goods. When not used as a dolly it simply converts to a patio grill table for home use. When not in use it folds flat for easy storage. All in all money well spent. In addition, the price from Amazon was 10 bucks cheaper than my local retailer. With super saver shipping in 3 days I wondered why I waited so long to buy. These pots are pretty thin and you can expect the base to be of the same thickness as the sides. Still, I thought it was a good deal when I paid a little over $21! In a few days the price went down further to about $17. That would have been a better price to pay! They stack well and the lid of the smaller one fits into the next size (except for the largest of course). They could dent easily! They heat up quickly and are great when you need to make cheese or just make stocks and soups for a large gathering! It's also great as a double boiler

Quality, features, and value could not be matched! The price (with free shipping), also included a kitchen tools set, a nice bonus.
Thanksgiving was my big "road test". The quality is outstanding! The mirror finish stainless kettles have a nice weight, well-fitting lids, classy sturdy riveted handles, flat bottoms that fit nicely on the burners, and stay-cool handles. They heat evenly. I do not like nonstick cookware, and by adding a little water to the pan after cooking, cleanup was a breeze. I put them all in the dishwasher and they come out sparkling.
I bought a chrome potrack and display them proudly. They indeed look and perform like very high-priced cookware. This was indeed a great purchase!
Any minor spotting or discloration from use, disappears like magic with the use of a small amount of Barkeeper's Friend powder.
I am so pleased with my set that I have already added to it; I purchased a 2qt. and 3qt. saucepan, and the 5 1/2 qt. saute pan. The saute pan is a work of art; especially good for those big pieces of meat on Holidays, and at $39.99, an unbelievable value. I plan on purchasing several as gifts.
It is also ovenproof to 550 degrees; something not found in the plastic-lid products.

Shelled prawns 2 lbs.
Clear broth 3 cups
Lemon grass, cut 1 inch pieces, lightly pounded 1 stalk
Kaffir lime leaves, torn 3
Coriander roots 3
Tomatoes (small) 5
Canned mushrooms 1/2 cup
Fish sauce 4 tablespoons
Lime juice 4 tablespoons

Toasted chili paste, fried 2 tablespoons

Method

Boil the clear broth and add the chopped lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves and coriander roots. Cover the pot until it begins to boil. Add the tomatoes, mushroom and fish sauce and leave to cook. Add he prawns, wait for the broth to boil, remove the pot from the heat. Put chili paste and lime juice into a bowl, spoon stir until mixed well, then add he small chilies. Pour the Tom Yum soup into the bowl and stir gently until well blended. At this point, if required add additional spices to taste. Sprinkle the coriander leaves and serve while hot.

All of my previous cookware was stainless steel or low-end aluminum, so I was not sure what to expect in terms of durability. However, this set has exceeded my expectations. The pans are wonderful to cook with, the non-stick coating beats anything I've tried before, the lids fit tightly, and the insulated handles make oven mitts unnecessary. I love how light the pans are -- even full they are easy to lift and pour from. One note of caution: The domed lids and upright lid handles mean these pans require a bit more storage space than other sets I've used.
