This budget-priced cookware set is perfect for college students or young couples who are setting up a first kitchen. The 14-piece set has everything necessary for the basic meals attempted by entry-level cooks (pasta and sauce, eggs, and anything pre-packaged). The pans in the set include four covered saucepans in 1-, 1-1/2-, 2-, and 4-1/2-quart sizes and two nonstick skillets in 9- and 10-1/2-inch sizes. The pans are accompanied by four kitchen tools: a slotted spatula, a ladle, a slotted spoon, and a pasta fork.
Made of aluminum, which is an excellent conductor of heat, these pans warm up through the bottoms and sides for even cooking. A nonstick coating on the interior and exterior of the pan reduces the need to cook with extra fats and makes cleanup fast and easy. Pans have durable, riveted phenolic handles that stay cool on the stovetop and see-through glass lids for keeping an eye on supper as it cooks.
