These pots are pretty thin and you can expect the base to be of the same thickness as the sides. Still, I thought it was a good deal when I paid a little over $21! In a few days the price went down further to about $17. That would have been a better price to pay! They stack well and the lid of the smaller one fits into the next size (except for the largest of course). They could dent easily! They heat up quickly and are great when you need to make cheese or just make stocks and soups for a large gathering! It's also great as a double boiler
